Chi is another word for personal life force energy. When one’s Chi is low we feel sick or bad, or just out of balance.  When the Chi is low or disrupted we experience illness, physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.  When one’s Chi is high we’re healthy, happy and balanced.  One is enthusiastic and facing the world and life with passion and a cheerful outlook. 

Reiki is laying on of hands, a touch healing system of incomparable ease and power. It is not a learned ability, but transferred through an ancient formula from teacher to student as one progresses.  The act of laying on of hands or  hands a few inches from the human or animal body to comfort and relieve pain is as old as instinct.   When experiencing pain, the first thing most people do is put their hands where they feel the discomfort.  When a child falls and scrapes her/his knee, they want their caretaker to touch or kiss it and make it better.  Human touch conveys warmth, serenity and a healing.  It also conveys caring and love.  When an animal is in pain, a dog or cat’s first instinct is to lick the pain area-for the same reasons that a person applies touch with their hands.  This simple act is the basis for all touch healing techniques.  We bring Healing and the client Together.
